MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND HOW I EDIT MY INSTAGRAM PHOTOS

Back in college, I used to watch Michelle Phan videos all night! Before ZoellaBretman Rock and Michelle Dy - there is Michelle Phan. Like you, I patiently waited for her videos to be uploaded every week. What can I say? I'm just a young girl trying to find a  fun, creative outlet and I found makeup!

However, as much as I loved watching these makeup tutorials online, I didn't really have the guts to create and film one myself. But hey, it's never too late to do what you love right? Just this week, I've uploaded two makeup videos on my Youtube Channel: HOW I DO MY OFFICE MAKEUP and NO EYESHADOW MAKEUP LOOK. I use natural day light and my phone to record my videos, while our messy receiving area can be seen as the background. It's just a simple setting, really, nothing fancy!

I believe that more than the makeup brands and makeup techniques, viewers want to see TRANSFORMATION. And that's what I am trying to give my audience. It's okay to look human, with flaws and everything. After all, what you are bare-faced is still what you are after a full coverage makeup - only a little more fabulous! I still am very conscious of how I look first thing in the morning, since I don't have the 'WOKE UP LIKE THIS' look that I can brag about. But I realized that what people see when they really look at you is not all the physical aspect. When people look at you, they are reminded of what you help bring in their life. So try to be good to everyone, but most importantly, to yourself.

In this blog entry, as promised, I will also share with you how I edit my Instagram photos. The two photo-editing apps that I use are: Vsco and Afterlight. It's not that easy but it takes time to master it all. Good thing VSCO hacks are all over the internet today! You just have to Google it according to the theme that you want to achieve. Type these sample keywords in Google search bar: "Vsco filter for selfies," "Vsco filter 2017," "Vsco filter themes," "Vsco filter clean," and just follow the specifications for each filter. Voila! // On the other hand, I use Afterlight mostly for vintage-themed photos, frames and photo layers. Check out Light Leaks and Dusty filters! Like VSCO, you can purchase more Afterlight add-ons in the App Store.

Maintaining a good Instagram feed is not that simple, sometimes you have to sacrifice photos that are close to your heart because they don't fit your theme. I say, break the rules! Try to up your Instagram game one photo at a time, by making each photo count. As long as you love your photo, a hundred more likes from your followers is just an added bonus. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, just enjoy the process and you will eventually master your craft!

Hope this post inspires you to never stop doing what you love and remind you that it's never too late to start a new hobby or interest. Right now, I'm just genuinely enjoying what I create and I'm filled with so much joy and happiness that I'm able to do this again.
