Hashtag squad goals!
We always hear this phrase
whenever we see group of friends accomplishing something rad, or anything worth
the envy. Like traveling outside the country together, finishing college
together, or just basically doing things you all enjoy with just one goal in
mind. For me and my team, FOOD IS LIFE!! And photography, and coffee, and social
media too! We are the team behind What’s Up Dagupan, spearheaded by Simon
Vistro. What’s Up Dagupan chronicles what’s hip and hot in Dagupan City. It is
a compendium of the news, events, culture, food, arts, language and music of Region
1’s “Pandaragupan” or gathering place, the Longest Grill World Record Beaker
and the Bangus Capital of the World – Dagupan City!
So what does it feel like
going out with the team?

Last Saturday, we were invited to attend the soft opening of Gloria Maris Restaurant here in Dagupan City. The restaurant had a major revamp and it’s worth the five-month wait. Love the interiors especially the lighting, perfect for taking a selfie. They also added new dishes to their menu and we tried them all. Did you know that they now have pumpkin soup for appetizer? Okay, I admit that I didn’t want to try it at first as I’m not a big fan of the veggie. But to my surprise, the pumpkin soup even tasted better than the usual corn and mushroom. The tiny bits of seafood in it added a twist!

Then they served Spinach Tofu, which became an instant favorite of the group. Then came the super tender Shanghai Beef, Sweet Fire Chicken and Yang Chow Rice. But what excited me the most? The delectable Salted Egg Prawns! We see and hear salted eggs mixed with almost everything and turned into almost anything. Like Irvin’s salted egg potato chips and Fryday’s chicken wings with salted egg. But the Salted Egg Prawns by Gloria Maris Dagupan still tops my list. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water and my tummy growl. We took lots of photos of course, we want to be the first ones to share it with our friends. I took videos though, for my new baby VLOG on Youtube.

After our lunch, the boys
had a relaxing spa session at Luxus Spa while I do some errands. We met again
for dinner at Papi’s Grill – the first eat-all-you-can grill in Dagupan.

So wait there’s more! After our dinner, Mamu and Papu invited us to join them at the newly-opened Bo’sCoffee located along Jose De Venecia road C5 extension. Yes, the Bo’s Coffee of Manila is now in Pangasinan! Sir Simon and I tried Artisanal Choco drink, it’s made from pure cacao and it’s so tasty. We also had carrot cakes and s’mores brownie. I can’t wait for you to watch the whole video on my vlog!
