Gone Girl Movie Review

I didn't know about Gone Girl until I saw a couple of articles about it posted online. But Ben Affleck bores the hell out of me (it's not you Ben, it's me), or so before I watched this movie, and that's the reason why I ignored it at first.

But what made me watch the movie? Peer pressure.

If it weren't for my friends, I wouldn't have discovered this thrilling, captivating, mentally and emotionally challenging story that will make you want to know more about.

The movie was so good it deserved all the recognition they are receiving right now. Gone Girl has been well-accepted both critically and commercially as a matter of fact. Ben Affleck, in the movie, was a natural asshole; Neil Patrick Harris - hopeless romantic / filthy rich, possessive martyr; Emily Ratajkowski - a young, flawless home wrecker; and Kim Dickens a badass investigator - she is the epitome of an older, wiser, real-life cool girl. Wouldn't you agree with me on that?

And Rosamund Pike, my God! **Separate paragraph for RP since I really really like her** I felt like an Amy Dunne in the deepest, darkest compartment of my soul is trying to come out. I was moved by how you portrayed the character, YOU ARE Amy Dunne. You're not a damsel in distress! You are the most stunning, well-organized psychopath, an emotionally unstable, attention-seeking rich kid who is very passionate of the one person who will eventually cheat on you and break your heart and ask for divorce because you lost your cool all those eccentric, sex-driven, perfectly imperfect, happy married life you are trying very hard to show in public and in front of your idealist parents and their fancy way of making you feel down along the whole process. Rosamund Pike you deserve all the nominations and whether you get or not these best actress awards, you are still highly praised by all. We want to see more of you in the future!

I loved the movie so much, I bought it in paper! Gillian Flynn, you are a master storyteller. I truly admire your work. Thank you for being the author of Mr. & Mrs. Dunne's twisted, wicked lives. I still believe it's an open ending. More psychological thrillers please!

“We weren’t ourselves when we fell in love, and when we became ourselves – surprise! – we were poison. We complete each other in the nastiest, ugliest possible way.” ― Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl
